The darkness is always extinguished by light. Even amid the heavy cloud of fear and uncertainty, light comes bursting forth in the form of love and hope. Easter Sunday is a celebration of the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the grave, who gives love and hope… and life to all those who trust in Him. Happy Easter. He is risen. He is alive, and because He lives, we can face tomorrow.

Standing on the observation area of the West End Overlook, this was one photo from a time-lapse experiment gone awry. But the heart from the lighted rooms at the Wyndham Hotel against the blackened backdrop of the city of Pittsburgh is a beautiful word picture of light overcoming darkness.

This site is a collection of my commentary on theology, current events, and everyday blue collar life. My primary purpose is to share my own personal studies in the Scriptures and to show how the Bible has been changing my life. The content here is meant to be an encouragement to my brothers and sisters in Christ: to view everything through the lens of God’s Word, for the Scriptures are what shapes our thinking and governs our behavior.
