There are many references in the Bible of Jesus as the Creator.
All things came into being through Him, and apart from Him nothing came into being that has come into being – John 1:3.
It is unmistakable that Jesus was present during the act of creation. And not only present, but active in it. Colossians 1:16 also attests to this fact when Paul states “For by Him all things were created, both in the heavens and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities – all things have been created through Him and for Him”. John 1:10, Hebrews 1:2, 1 Corinthians 8:6 all point to Jesus as the Creator of all things.
It may be a hard concept to grasp, that Jesus existed in eternity past as Creator but yet was born in a manger a couple thousand years ago. The doctrine of incarnation says that the Son of God was in the beginning with God having no material substance, but took on human form as a baby in a manger, the son of Mary and Joseph.
It is a joyful thing to celebrate the birth of our Creator and Savior!
