It’s somewhat off the beaten path, but still a fairly popular attraction: the West End Overlook. This location provides one of the most breathtaking views of the city of Pittsburgh.

When you visit, you are likely to see a few kids playing in the small grassy park area. You will see couples sharing some romantic moments as they stroll on the sidewalk. There will be people taking selfies along the fence with the iconic skyline of Pittsburgh behind them and some serious photographers with their expensive cameras and tripods getting that perfect, award-winning shot of the city.

This is the prime location to get a straight-on view of The Point. And if you get up early enough, the sunrise from this spot is amazingly beautiful as daybreak approaches from behind the Pittsburgh skyline.
