Raymond O. Edwards, age 69, of Kittanning RD 3 died in his home September 28, 1971 at 1:20 p.m. of an apparent heat attack. He was a retired employee of PPG Industries, Ford City.
Mr. Edwards was a charter member, elder and trustee of the Furnace Run Chapel.
Born March 30, 1902 in East Franklin Twp,. He was the son of Adam and Ada (Hetrick) Edwards.
Surviving Mr. Edwards are his wife, the former Bernice Dowling, four sons, Harold W. of Worthington RD 2, Robert V. of Worthington, Raymond J. of Kittanning RD 3 and William S. of Hiwahlwa, Hawaii; two daughters, Mrs. Frank (Ada) Ferone of Karns City RD 2 and Raylene Bernice at home; one brother, Andrew of Kittanning RD 2; two sisters, Mrs. Mabel Morgan and Mrs. Evelyn Mahalic, both of Lorain, Ohio; 17 grandchildren and five great grandchildren, Mr. Edwards’ first wife, the former Ruth Snyder, died March 22, 1952.
EDWARDS – Friends of Raymond O. Edwards who died Sept. 28, 1971 will be received in the Walter G. Snyder Funeral Home in Cowansville after 7 this evening. Visitation will be from 7 to 9 p.m. today and from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. tomorrow. Funeral arrangements by Snyder of Cowansville.
