Orval Hess Kincaid was born in Buckhannon, West Virginia on March 20, 1912. He graduated from Pine Grove High School in 1934 where he was a member of the football team.

He married Hazel May Smith on May 24, 1937 at Wetzel, West Virginia (see photos here). They moved shortly thereafter to Ellwood City, Pennsylvania where he began a long career as an Engineer for the B&O Railroad.

They were also residents of New Castle, Pennsylvania, living in Shenango Township until his retirement in 1977. Orval was known as “Buck” to all who loved him.
